| Yachtmaster Offshore Exam Preparation |
Description |
This is the most useful and credible of all yachting qualifications. A
yachtmaster needs a wealth of knowledge, not only to cope with plain
sailing, but also to cope when things go wrong. The Yachtmaster Offshore
is competent to skipper a cruising yacht on any passage during which the
yacht is no more than 150 miles from harbour.
This is a very worthwhile course for students wishing to take their
Yachtmaster Offshore practical exam. During the course we help to fully
prepare all candidates for the rigours which will be encountered during
their RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore exam. Including all aspects of
practical boat handling, seamanship and helmsmanship, and help students
with the revision of any shorebased theory which they feel they may need
to brush up on.

Exam Duration |
The yachtmaster exam will take about 8 to 12 hours for one candidate and
10 to 18 hours for two. Candidates will be set tasks to demonstrate their
ability as skipper of an offshore cruising yacht and may also be asked
questions on any part of the syllabus for all courses except Yachtmaster
Ocean. |
